This article researches the British political corruption problems in late19th andearly20th century. It first makes a historical review of British political corruption beforelate19th and early20th century. Then it leads to the introduction of the historicalbackground of Britain in late19th and early20th century. Moreover, it elaborates thespecific performance of British political corruption in detail, analyses deeply all kinds ofcauses which result in political corruption and then leads to its impacts to parliamentarypolitics and party politics. In the end it concludes the British government measures andenlightenments for political corruption.This article has three parts: introduction, main body and conclusion.The first part introduces the meaning of the selected topics, it elaborates the researchsummarization of the British political corruption problems in late19th and early20thcentury by the domestic and overseas scholars, it also introduces the research thought, thestructure and the definitions of related concepts.The second part includes four chapters. The first chapter is a historical review. Itenumerates the political corruption of early Stuart, the political corruption of Hanoverand the historical evolution of middle and late period in19th century. The second chapteris about the historical background of the British political corruption in late19th and early20th century. The third chapter mainly elaborates the specific performance of the Britishpolitical corruption in late19th and early20th century, then leads to the specific causeand political influence of British political corruption. Since then it promotes furtherreform and improvement to the parliament, and with the decline of the Liberal Party, theLabor Party entered the political arena, then plays an important role in British politicallife. The fourth chapter summarizes the three traits of the British measures to managepolitical corruption problem, which includes the improvement of anti-corruption laws,the establishment of specialized anti-corruption agencies and consolidation ofsupervision mechanism.The third part is the conclusion. It summarizes the British political problems in late19th and early20th century. Through the research of British political corruption in late 19th and early20th century, we hope we can achieve the beneficial experience andenlightenments for China today to manage the political corruption problems.
