Study On The Policy Adjustment Of Western Han Emperor ZhaoXuanYuan

This paper takes the classics of the Qin and Han Dynasties and the existing researchresults, on the basis of the historical process of the middle of the Western Han Dynasty formacroscopic inspection, systematic and in-depth analysis of Zhao Xuan Yuan period policy toadjust the background, causes, process, content, impact of the problem. Emperor in Luntai sinhas promulgated a letter to the opened the prelude of policy adjustment during this period,Zhao period of the Salt and Iron Meeting again in the form of debate for further policyadjustments made the theoretical preparation. Due to different background factors, theadjustment of Zhao Xuan Yuan Emperor Wudi policy on three different sizes. The reign ofEmperor Zhao, HuoGuang presided, to resume production and rest, greatly reduced the size offoreign expansion; Emperor Xuan, ruled by justice and by force, reasonable scheduled,changed Emperor Wu’s blindly demanding, through unremitting efforts to realize theresurgence of Zhao Xuan. Emperor Yuan, managed state affairs by Confucianism, completely abandonedthe state policy of “autocratic imperial power”,gradually lost the firm control of the feudalimperial power, thus, despot, Confucian scholar, eunuchs,relatives and other forces taking up,fighting for power and money, consuming energy of the Han Dynasty,which inevitably decay.More specifically，the thesis consists of three chapters：Chapter Ⅰ Introduced the background and reasons about policy adjustment of EmperorZhaoXuanYuan. First through the demonstration of the Emperor Wu policy shortcomings andcaused the serious social crisis, to illustrate the rulers want to maintain the rule must adjustpolicy; at the same time discuss the era background factors from the aspect of what promptedthe adjustment is necessary to carry out.Chapter Ⅱ Introduces the process and content of policy adjustment of EmperorZhaoXuanYuan. First summarize virtuous view of “Elite Literature”on the Salt and IronMeeting and the role of policy changes; then recount several points that the specific content ofpolicy adjustments of Emperor ZhaoXuan. Finally, Emperor Yuan’s “pure Confucianismteaches”policy changes in the contents of the system is introduced.Chapter Ⅲ From the macro perspective of social historical development to explore theinfluence of the policy adjustments of Emperor ZhaoXuanYuan.
