Recent years, with the expansion of enrollment of master graduate students, mastergraduate students cannot rely on their degree to attract employers’ attention. There areincreasingly difficulties on their career decisions. Among the reasons caused master graduatestudents ‘career decision-making difficulties, self-identity and decision-making style affectmaster graduate in a great extent. In previous studies,research findings are more aboutyoungsters or undergraduate students but less about master graduate students. In fact,self-identity and decision-making style affect the career decision-making difficulties as well.With the hard employment situation, there are more and more employment pressure to mastergraduate students. Therefore, it is important to study the self-identity, decision-making styleand career decision-making difficulties about master graduate students.This paper researched400master graduate students in Dalian universities with themethod of questionnaire investigation to research master graduate students’ self-identity,decision-making style as well as their career decision-making difficulties. The questionnaireinclude EOM-EIS-2, GDMS and CDDQ. Based on the findings of this study the followingconclusions have been drawn:(1) Most of master graduate students’ self-identity are in diffusive situation andmoratorium situation.(2) On the dimension of self-identity, foreclosed dimension has significant differenceon master graduate students’ marital status; students in the status of identity achievement aredifferent on received vocational counseling or not; students’ gender difference and majordifference is not significant on their self-identity.(3) The master graduate students’ decision-making style has significant difference onGender and marital status.(4) There are more than a half of master graduate facing much more careerdecision-making diffculties.(5) Master graduate students’ career decision-making difficulties in terms of gender,source place has significant difference; in terms of marital status,the subject and professionalguidance,there is no significant difference.(6) There is significant difference on master graduate students’ self-identity,decision-making style and career decision-making difficulties. Self-identity can project wellto career decision-making difficulties.
