Nowadays, the purchasing ability, which represents means of success, has become one of the most focuses on social phenomenon, influenced and restricted by the social market economic system in China, at the same time, the purchasing ability can create happiness focused on material wealth, but behind the happiness, the value judgment of material wealth is particularly critical. Reform and opening up and economic globalization have made people’s life style, idea of consumption, and judgments of values, however, in the specially psychological and physical phase, the youth are easy to form false judgments of value for material wealth which ultimately affect their mental health and the personality improvement of. Based on this, starting with the youth group, this study researched that the relationship among the teenagers values of materialism, social support and psychological control sources.The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship among the teenagers values of materialism, social support and psychological control sources to provide feasible suggestions for improving false judgments of value for material wealth. Through this research can give our motherland future correction values and provide some constructive suggestions for improvement.Methods:The study randomly selected330students as research subjects, using materialism values questionnaire, inner-outer psychological control source scale and social support rating scale for test, and the obtained datum were worked out by SPSS correlation analysis and regression analysis.The analysis of this paper:(1) Middle school students’sense of control and materialism values had significant differences in demographic variables respectively, while the social support didn’t have significant differences in the demographic variables.(2) Middle school students’ sense of control and the materialistic values and significant had negative correlation between them and between each dimensions; middle school students’ social support and materialism values had significant negative correlation between them and between each dimensions; middle school students’sense of control and social support had significant positive correlation.(3) Middle school students’ sense of control had a complete mediating effect on relationship between the social support and materialism values, middle school students’sense of control had a part mediating effect on relationship between centralization dimension and happiness dimension of materialism values.
