Research On The Development Of China’s Movie And Television Bases

Nowadays film＆television base is in the development of rapid expansion in China. There arethousands of them but the operating conditions vary greatly. The article first explains six concepts related tofilm＆television base and their relationships, combing the history of the development of the domestic andforeign film＆television bases. Then classifies the film＆television base in China in terms of shooting spot,content themes, spatial and time relationship, building forms, original development, investors, the degree ofassociation with the film and television industry, business model, profit model and other aspects. And theirstatus are examined in light of the professionalism, scale, industry chain, distribution, operating conditionsand other aspects. Hengdian World Studios is analyzed as an example in perspective of historical process,business model and supporting product——the three most basic dimensions to understand the film＆television base.Although in China the construction of film＆television base is in the ascendant, there are problemssuch as the blind following, serious homogeneity, backward service level, lack of supporting product, theweak industry chain and the cheat phenomenon. The profit of most film＆television base is low or even at aloss, but the construction of film＆television base is still in the boom because of the factors such asunscientific planning, performance pursuit, commercial property, possible opportunities for corruption andso on. To solve these problems above, the article gives the following advices that the relevant departmentsshould strictly check film＆television bases, and film＆television base should improve basic services,cultivate compound talents, and take the road of differentiated brand development, industrial clusterdevelopment and sustainable development.
