Consecutive interpretation (CI) is a professional activity that needs specialcapability.“During CI, interpreters have no chance to comprehend the sourceinformation more than once. They must carry out a series of tasks of informationprocessing”(Yang Weibin2012:51). These tasks bring great pressure on theinterpreters’ comprehensive abilities such as listening comprehension, note-taking,short-term memory and logical thinking.During the author’s CI practice, she encountered several problems such aslistening, note-taking, different accents and the omission of information, duringwhich, the biggest problem was the omission of information when interpreting longerpassages. Therefore, the main purpose of this practice report is to analyze theproblems of the author’s interpretation, the reasons that cause the problems and thesolutions to cope with them.
