Research On Application Of Texture Language Of Watercolor Painting

With the improvement of cultural environment and the updating of people’s ideas, the art of watercolor tends to flourish. As one of the most important painting language of modern paintings, texture are gaining more attention than ever before, with the innovation of painting skills and appliance of the new type of painting materials, the texture in modern pictures are more colorful than before. The research and practice of the texture skills by watercolor artists provide an opportunity for them to express their inner feeling more precisely, they also make an intensive exploration and practice on watercolor texture in four aspects:form, content, techniques and innovation. The exercise of texture in paintings enriched pictures’expressive force and visual impact and it also embodies artistic tastes and delivers artistic ideas, the exercise of texture in paintings also get twice the result with half the effort in shaping the image, it was also a key factor in developing personal style. According to the above mentioned points, analytical investigation of texture in modern pictures, know its material characteristics, creation method, aesthetic features and its expressive function in paintings become particularly important.The subject of the thesis is "Study of the texture in watercolor" Chapter one is an introduction part which consists of three parts: background and research significance of topics; overseas and domestic research status; research contents and appliance of research method. Chapter two set forth the connotation of texture which includes the concept of texture, classification of texture and aesthetic feeling of texture. Chapter three mainly focused on studying the concrete application of texture in watercolor and the study divided into three parts:the reason of widespread use of texture in watercolor, the manifestation of application of texture in watercolor, the application of texture in individual characteristics of watercolor which consists of analysis of tool materials, analysis of techniques and analysis of innovation. The mainly content of chapter four is thinking of exercise of texture in modern watercolor painting creation: proper use of connotation and characteristic of texture in watercolor; adequate consideration of the emotion and thought of texture in watercolor.
