| This thesis is a summary report on the translation of the third chapter “Social Interaction†from Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning, edited by the scholar named Sanna Jarvela from Finland. This chapter mainly deals with two themes, including “Early Social Development and Schooling†and “Social Interaction and Learningâ€.The translation mainly adopts a literal translation strategy, supplemented by free translation. The report falls into four parts. The first part is the task description of the translated material, which tells the source text of the translation and its style; the second part focuses on the translation process; the third part is a study of this translation practice from the perspective of lexical analysis, syntactic analysis and contextual analysis in translation; the fourth part is a summary drawn from the translation practice. |
