Separable words is not only the key point and difficult point of the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, but also one of the common errors for oversea students’ acquisition. Korea oversea students are the learners that we contact with most during the teaching practice and their error phenomenon are more severe. Therefore, it is essential to research on the acquisition error of separable word of Korea oversea students. This paper first sorts out and concludes the existing literature and further masters the trend and shortage of research as well as defines the significance of the topic by combing personal practice environment. This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the investigation of the separable word acquisition of Korea oversea students. It determines the investigation object and the number and takes the specific separable word test respectively for oversea students in beginner, intermediate and advanced level. The second part is the type analysis of the separable word error of Korea oversea students. According to several stretched forms and “joint” form of separable word and taking the survey results in initial stage, it summarizes eight error types and compares with acquisition condition of separable word of three stages in overall and individual. The third part is the cause of separable word error of Korea oversea students. It generalizes and discusses the five main reasons that affect the separable word acquisition of Korea oversea students. The fourth part is the strategies for separable word teaching of Korea oversea students. We put forward the teaching strategies from the teacher’s preparation a lesson, the classroom teaching methods and students’ learning methods. The conclusion part summarizes this paper as well as points out the deficiencies and future efforts of this paper.
