Following the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the related method and mode of teaching also have required the break though and innovation.This essay aims to seek ways to improve the foreign learners’ Chinese level by increasing their interests of Chinese language and decreasing their anxiety during study,and mainly discusses the way to teach Chinese language as a second language through games.Based on the previous study on this teaching method,at the first place,the essay will raise a discussion on the theories and arguments about the game teaching through the study on psychology and education.According to the basic theories,this essay will introduce the features and principals of game teaching method.Besides,through the relevant study on integrated course of Chinese learning for foreigners and interviews with volunteers who have the experience on teaching Chinese as a second language overseas.This essay is also going to look through the elements including level of Chinese language,learning motivation and age among learners.Then an analysis on the cases of game teaching method which the three volunteers applied to their teaching in their Chinese language integrated class will also be drawn through several perspectives including the features of games(diversity, task method,purposiveness,competitiveness)and principles of the teaching method( scintificity, timeliness, enjoyment, interactivity, culture) Furthermore,some reflection and suggestions on the process when applying this method before, during and after the teaching will be presented in the basis of the attitudes and feedback from students towards the Chinese language class and game teachin g method.Those data will be collected through the questionnaire.In the end,this essay is going to raise the concern about the common problems which have emerged on game teaching method applying in the Chinese comprehensive lessons.
