P.2213 <San Jiao Zhi Li Xiang Tong Lun (Draft)> is a paper that aimed at Huitong san jiao doctrines, especially mixing relationship between Buddhism and Confucianism. It communicate to san jiao from the moral principles with calm attitude. It made some breakthrough and progress in the base of inhering the tradition and practice of Dunhuang religious communicaed Buddhist and Confucian past and meanwhile. It also provided some new information for us to understand the struggle and reconcile relationship among Dunhuang san jiao, has a certain research value. The paper attempt to study P.2213<San Jiao Zhi Li Xiang Tong Lun (Draft)> as follow:First, discuss its nature, timing, on the base of historical document, consider P.2213 <San Jiao Zhi Li Xiang Tong Lun (Draft)> is a paper producted in the Tang Xuan Zong Time, that aimed at Huitong san jiao doctrines, especially mixing relationship between Buddhism and Confucianism. Second, by analyzing the content of the instruments,we find that the biggest feature of P.2213 <San Jiao Zhi Li Xiang Tong Lun (Draft)> is demonstrated relationship between san jiao on Buddhism’s stance and to reconcile the relationship Buddhism and Confucianism. This feature because of both the history and tradition of Buddheism was introduced to China and the geographical features Dunhuang. Third, through combing the characteristics and development of relationships between Dunhuangsan jiao, discusses the reasons for the instrument appeared in Dunhuang, think that during the Tang Dynasty rulers’ attitude about san jiao began changed from focusing on the role of the social enlightenment teachings to communication shift to three themes, san jiao towards a deeper and broader level.
