| Based on the collectively polysemes in Yang Jizhou’s A Course in Chinese (Revised Edition) and The Outline of the Graded Vocabulary and Chinese characters for HSK, this paper picked out the 161 polysemous verbs as target words and put them into the Chinese Inter-language Corpus and Contemporary Chinese Language Corpus of Peking University one by one for further study. Through the statistics, comparison and analyses of their senses usage in these two corpus, including amounts, presentations and ranked distribution of senses; proportion, frequency and accuracy of their usage as well as frequency differences among senses, it can be found out that:(1) Thai students have a rather high usage accuracy of target polysemous verbs’senses and their grade sequences maintain a high consistency in Inter-language Corpus and Contemporary Chinese Language Corpus. In these two corpus, the usage frequency of target polysemous verbs’ senses is 2 or 3 and what have been used is mostly their original meaning.(2) When it comes to the usage of target words’sense on scope, amount proportion accuracy as well as collocation of target words, Thai students’use conditions vary from those of the Contemporary Chinese Language Corpus demonstrated. Besides, abroad students have some errors in using target words, which reflects they didn’t not totally grasp these words.Meanwhile, based on statistics data, this paper analyzes the errors Thai students confront when using these target words. What’s more, with more study on the external reason, textbook and 10 fallible target words’arrangement in the textbook, this paper also proposed some potential matters in arranging new words and put forward their corresponding strategies for improvement.Finally, to promote the teaching efficiency of target words, this paper also formulates a suggestion table for sense teaching according to the frequency of senses and the actual use requirements of Thai students. |
