As a new teaching mode, task-based language teaching methodology played an important role in English teaching in the west during the 1970s to 1980s, whose focus is communicating. It is based on the concept of language learning, regarding students as the main body of teaching activity. "Learning by doing" is this mode’s major feature which based on task-based language teaching. In order to help learners to autonomously learn their second language, realization of communicative tasks is quite crucial. In 2001, China’s Ministry of Education issued the "English curriculum standard" advocating that the task-based English teaching in the standard model. From then on, task-based language teaching appeared in English classroom while the study of the theory about the task-based teaching approach and practice activities are in full swing. In nearly a decade, with the augmentation of the China’s international influence, "Mandarin Fever" grows rapidly all over the world. Chinese, as a bridge of communication culture, is gradually being attached importance to in cultural exchange. Teaching Chinese as a foreign language is meeting both opportunities and challenges. As a matter of domestic experience, scholars take English teaching experience to Chinese teaching. Task-based teaching method is one of them. In the 1980s, teaching Chinese as a foreign language is developing at a high speed, points the classroom courses, patterns have started to be taken into teaching Chinese as a foreign language in our country. Cultivating learners’ oral communication ability becomes an indispensable part of the teaching Chinese as a foreign language. At same time, task-based teaching pattern has been used in oral class.This article attempts to explore the impact of the task-based language teaching in Chinese classroom from practical perspective, with the textbook Short-term Spoken Chinese (Pre-Intermediate) as an object, and design task-based classroom teaching. According to the concept of task and task-based teaching method, using Short-term Spoken Chinese (Pre-Intermediate) as an example, meanwhile, questionnaire result will be presented. In order to promote oral ability of learners, designed task-based oral teaching classroom from practical perspective. Exploring the problems in teaching practice through the analysis of task-based teaching practice feedback, then relevant countermeasures and suggestions will be put forward.
