A Translation Report On Chapter 1 Of See Now Then

This report is based on the translation of See Now Then which written by Jamaica Kincaid, it tells readers a story about Mr. Sweet and Mrs. Sweet, and they live in the countryside of New England, US. The place where they live is a very beautiful, however, their life is not so happy.The writer Jamaica Kincaid is a Caribbean writer, she is famous for her novels, like The Autobiography of My Mother, My Brother, etc. She is also a significant writer in the English literary circle world. The famous American critic and writer Susan Sontag once said:"among the contemporary English writers, nobody that I want to read, but Kincaid." The novel See Now Then was written in 2013, which is based on the consciousness of Mr. Sweet and Mrs. Sweet to write the conflicting relationship of them under the beautiful countryside life in New England.This report has four parts; the first part introduces the writer Jamaica Kincaid and the main content of the novel See Now Then.
