In this paper, we use some certain research methods like literature review, corpus and other quantitative and qualitative research methods to conduct a comprehensive and detailed discussion on nine Chinese repetition adverbs’ syntactic positions in group structure under the theoretical basis of cognitive principles, and also roughly covers the analysis of their second language acquisition. The full text is divided into five parts, the first part and the fifth part of which are respectively the introduction and conclusion, the other three parts are the thesis’ focus and principal parts. The first chapter is introduction, it describes the object of study, topic reasons, research methods and goals, as well as a review of the related research. The second chapter is to discuss repetition adverbs’ syntactic positions in group structure, which mainly includes the order between repetition adverbs and adjacent conjunctions, modal verbs, and other adverbs. For other adverbs, this paper not only describes the specific order between repetition adverbs and other adjacent adverbs in detail in the form of tables, but also re-integrates the tables from the perspective of the classification of diverse adverbs, and thus summarizes some of the regular patterns of syntactic position of repetition adverbs in group structure. The third chapter is on theoretical interpretation of the order between repetition adverbs and other adverbs. In this chapter we firstly introduce the four cognitive principles as the theoretical foundation, and then apply these principles to the explanation of regular patterns previously obtained. The fourth chapter is about the second language acquisition of syntactic position of repetition adverbs in group structure. In the first part and second part of this chapter, we respectively use HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus and questionnaire survey to investigate and discuss the acquisition of foreign students and make predictions to the findings. In the third part, we explore and analyze the group structure with repetition adverbs involved in the ’Development of Chinese’ senior textbook series, in order to conduct a confirmatory analysis of the predictions. The last part is conclusion, it summaries the whole article and further points out the shortcomings.
