Prospective memory refers to the time at some appropriate to perform a planned tasks. We’ve learned from daily life frequently, prospectie memory retrieval failure phenomenon, and case, such as a point in time to do some kind of behavior, but forget, but sometimes can be a very good finish before planned good intentions. Also one of the memory of what happened in the future and execution is not the same as a thing itself to its own importance, significance, another probable reason is that people in focus on some of the things, such as the current task difficulty is bigger, the cognitive load is bigger, to make a reservation for intention to perform, no extra cognitive resources to monitor and extraction. Guess based on the above two, on the basis of previous studies, with double tasks experimental research paradigm to study of prospective memory, focuses on task significance and task difficulty is in its influence factor, and in the process of dual task people to notice how resources are allocated. Two tasks of prospective memory types are single semantic and intuition. Stroop task involves semantics and intuitive processing two types. Two experiments of the task is carried out under the condition of stroop.Experiment one take the cluster sampling to 56 university students as subjects, using 2(prospective memory task significance: it is important, not important) x 2(for tasks in the presence of Mosaic prospective memory task: with and without) two factors mixed design, through instructions to inform their prospective memory task significance, inspection under the condition of given different weights of forward-looking task, prospective memory performance differences and the use of strategy. Experiment 2 take the cluster sampling to 56 university students as subjects, using 2(ongoing task difficulty: high and low) x 2(for tasks in the presence of Mosaic prospective memory task: with and without) two factors mixed design, the difficulty of the manipulation of the ongoing task, to pay attention to the uneven distribution of resources, control task in the attention resource changes on the influence of prospective memory performance. For embedded in the two experiments is within subjects design prospective memory task, other variables is between the participants.Research has shown that emphasizes the importance of prospective memory task on the subjects of prospective memory performance may be significant differences. Task difficulty of significant effects on task performance, can also affect participants prospective memory performance. This study supports dual processing theory.
