| Wu Meicun was born and grew up during the transition from Ming to Qing Dynasty and was the leader of poetic circles in nearly Qing Dynasty. He shared the name of "Three Great Poets" with Qian Qianyi and Gong Dingzi.Wu Meicun is a pathfinder of "Lou Dong poetries", and also an important member of Fu society. Wu wrote a lot of works on poetries, poetical talks, essays, dramas, geographical chronicle, etc. The most famous were his seven-word chanting poetry reflecting realistic society and conception of history, which won the recognition as "Meicun style". On the principle of telling truth. Wu Meicun wrote amount of valuable feminine literatures about tropical feminine characters at that time. The thesis has a more particular knowledge of Wu Meicun’s feminine friends, as well as his ideological female views, romantic feelings, feminine friends’ influence on "MeiCun style", striving for showing Wu’s literary status.Introduction:Briefly talk about the condition on research status, research value and structural approach.The first chapter:We acknowledge Wu’s another side at the background of extravagance and female emancipation during the late Ming dynasty. This chapter explores on the society atmosphere between Ming and Qing dynasty, and describes Wu’s life style. It lays a foundation for next chapters.The second chapter:The research on Wu Meicun and his female friends could be decided into three parts:Lotus-like friendship with good friends; Confidante friendship with bosom girl friends.The third chapter:To have a further analysis on the classification of female images and female views existed in Wu’s works. Female image could be divided into two types:lowly status girls as prostitutes and official reputation ladies.The fourth chapter:The friendship between Wu and his female friends had influences on Wu’s literature.Conclusion:Put forward to deepen the research on Wu Meicun and his literary status, as well as the poems’ influence on later generation, etc. |
