The Study Of Architectural Motif In The Russian Literature In The Second Half Of The 19th Century

Architecture and literature play a very important role in the Russian culture.In the long history of human civilization, architecture gradually developed with social progress.With the progress of Russian society and the development of urbanization, the relationship between literature and architecture is even closer.Architecture and literature should be put together to study, in that it will help us to understand how the Russian writers described the Russian mind under a special environment and had a unique feeling of the Russian nature and space.This paper,from the literary point of view, has chosen literary works of classical Russian writers in the second half of the 19th century as the study object. The author attempts to analyze the architectural motif in the Russian literature in the second half of the 19th century,to reveal the Russian cultural landscape and literary achievements.Introduction has identified the main concept of the motif and has described the current situation of domestic and foreign research studies on the relationship between architecture and literature.The first chapter,from three aspects of the traditional houses, the churches and the europeanized architecture, outlines the Russian architectural culture; the second chapter describes that the Russian writers used architectural motif to reveal their thinkings of social problems and national destiny in the condition of the various conflicts in the 19th century; the third chapter analysizes the relationship between the Russian writers and architecture.Finally, the author summarizes the relationships between architecture and literature, both of which play an important role in the Russian culture.
