| With the more frequent exchange and development among countries, education of children is becoming more and more important in parents’ eyes, especially the Bilingual education, which is regarded as the inspiration literature for children to get their impression of the world, and can bring significant influences on their growth. For the translation of children’s literature, what Reception Aesthetic Theory enlightens us is that the center of translation study has shifted from the source text centered paradigm to the reader-centered paradigm. Because of the particularity of children readers, the translator in the process of translation should give priority to he readers’ acceptability and the fusion between readers’ horizon of expectations and literary texts. At the same time, after making a comparative case study from three specific aspects---language, rhetoric and the process of culture information, the author drew a conclusion that under the guidance of Reception Aesthetic Theory, this paper attempts to prove the importance and necessity of translator’s appropriate creativity in the process of the translation of children’s literature. Through this translation practice, the translator wishes to enrich my professionalism and accumulate abundant experience about translation.Under the guidance of Aesthetic theory, the author puts forward some relevant translation strategies through the translation of famous children literature The bridge to Terabithia, and the analysis of the difficult points. The perfect translation is gotten based on solving the problems. The author hopes that her efforts can draw the public attention and interests in children literature, and provide a better learning environment for children. This thesis aims to apply Reception Aesthetics to child’s literature translation to prove its accessibility and provide a wider research perspective of this filed. Based on Reception Aesthetics which includes three main ideas, i.e. horizon of exceptions, role of readers, aesthetic distance,this thesis makes a study from linguistic level, rhetorical level and culture level and gives suggestion tactics for child’s literature translation, namely, translators should adopt colloquial linguistic style, simplify sentence patterns, visualize expressions and use certain strategies to reduce cultural gaps. This thesis draws the conclusion:translators must be child-oriented when translating child’s literature works. Only those translated versions which get readers involved in reading are good translated works. |
