| The small town Lu Min was born in Dongtai city of Jiangsu Province, after entering the Nanjing city to study work and settle, memories of the country and city life experience has constituted the life of Lu Min plate and literary sources, constitute the two major themes of Lu Min’s literary world with the corresponding "Dongba" stories and urban life mirror. Dual life experience double vision gives the authors observe the rural and urban, make it consciously or unconsciously by the view point of urban village, also stand in the city to look the country, so that the two themes constitute a contrasting and mutually complementary relation. But the dual view not only failed to address the author for the survival of the doubt, and even the birth of the author’s elegiac feeling, she is unable to see struggling small and tired of the urban population and sang a dirge like is the far away village.This paper is divided into four chapters. The theme of the first chapter is prosperous the predicament of city survival,which include four kinds:the "bottom" of the plight of survival which cannot escaped,the loveless marriage,the ruthless people in the workplace,and a variety of existing in the survival state of the relationship.The theme of the second chapter is the lost in the city. There are three types of characters in Lu Min’s novels in the city: the middle class,the people in the bottom,and the people which come from the country.The theme of the third chapter is the whirlpool of self-rescue in the plight.they have to do something to save themselves when they step into the plight,there are four choices: marriage,adultery, homosexuality, and death. The theme of the fourth chapter is there is the disappear of the garden of Eden.Lu Min is a writer with a strong sense of redemption, she tried to rescue people in a variety of predicament, but powerless in the process of redemption, she tried to take the rural as salvation direction, but only found the country is full of filth also, it is unable to resist the wave of modernization, this dilemma of redemption is not only caused by the author’s double visions,but also her particularly strong sense of rationality writing. |
