Study Of Second Person Narrative

Narrative person is an important topic in the research of narratology. The traditional theory distinguished the novel narrative person as the first person narration and the third person narration on the basis of the space position of narrators and from the standpoint of the narrator, the second person narration was not recognized. Sence twentieth Century, with the novels writed by second person narrative constantly emerging, the traditionaltheory has gradually exposed its defect, so continue to deny the objectivity of its existence will not be able to do good job in study of narrative type and the narrative effect. In the other side, the lag of theory will not conducive to innovation in the form of novel creation. Under this background, this article combs the related research results about the narrative person and the second person narration.On the basis of predecessors experience,we will make an in-depth discussion mainly about the second person narrative definition, types and it’s narrative effect.The first chapter studied about the traditional theory of the definition of the narrative person,raised our question to the theory of "foothold",and then illustrated our view-- the second person narration was exist objectivitely.The second chapter we distinguished the second person narration as the standard of "where you are" and "who you are", then studied the diversity types of it combined fiction created in Chinese and foreign works.On the basis of the previous discussion, the third chapter studied the aesthetic of second person narration of aesthetic mainly from four aspects: the readers’ participation, narrative rhythm, philosophical meaning and it’s against to convention of narrative.
