Austrian Franz Schubert was a great artist, composer, and the pioneer of Romanticism. During his lifetime, more than 600 artist songs were created, and his piano works were also make significance. But until the latter half of the 20th century, People began to recognize the unique style of Schubert piano works. The piano sonatas of Schubert reflected the earliest romantic lyricism. This new development of lyrical style laid the cornerstone for romantic music.The article, basic on twelve piano sonatas of Schubert, analysis their structures One by one. From macro view to grasp the characteristics of his style of piano sonata. The full text is divided into five chapters, the study address the creative background, structural features of Schubert piano sonatas, as well as his contributions and innovations in harmony, melody aspects. The first chapter is a review of the Schubert piano sonatas, and propose the research value and significance of the topic. The second chapter is to review the development of the sonata in various periods. The third chapter discusses the Schubert’s life experiences and creative background, and make an overall view of the style characteristics of Sonata. The fourth chapter make a detailed analysis of the structure of his piano sonatas from various periods, from the structure we can see his inheritance and innovation. The fifth chapter analyze the theme tune, harmonic material and the rhythm characteristics of Schubert piano sonatas in detail, and describes their impact on the style of work.The core content of the article are the fourth and fifth chapters. Through the detailed analysis of the Schubert piano sonatas from macro and micro perspective, I try to fully grasp the characteristics of Schubert’s Piano Sonata Romantic style.
