The rapid growth of international trade has accelerated the demand for business English talent, so vocational colleges begin to establish professional business English to meet the market demand. This makes the major become one of the most popular majors. However, the business English graduates have different quality both good and bad, which leads to serious gap on the companies need. In order to effectively improve the business skills of English majors and the quality of teaching in higher vocational colleges, this paper attempts to build a practical teaching system in business English education based on CBE.Firstly, using literature research and investigation method, we try to understand the research status of business English practical teaching. Secondly, according to CBE philosophy, we analyze the meaning of vocational education, business English, practical teaching system and professional core competence, and sort out the basic categories and concepts of the study. By using the DACUM method, we analyze the professional competence of Business English Majors, and build a Module of Business English. The module consists of three levels: the professional English skills, business skills and professional affairs generic skills. We find out the problems in vocational colleges’ practical courses via questionnaire survey. Finally, we build a Practical Teaching framework of Business English.The focus is the practical teaching mode, including the language skill experiment, business skills training and comprehensive practices. After analyzing the details, we propose four strategies for the embodiments of Business English Practical Teaching System to meet the need of training objectives.
