| At the beginning of this century, poplar music in China have become run-down under the impact of European popular music and Japanese-South Korean popular music, in great need of new and fresh thought to improve the creative work of Chinese musicians. A group of singer-composers represented by Zhou Jielun are willing to try to combine traditional Chinese culture with modern western popular music factors, leading a new direction for China’s popular music. As a result, this is called’Chinese Style’.’Chinese Style’popular songs are not only a return for Chinese traditional music, but also an innovation for modern popular music. At the same time, as a kind of art marked by nationality,’Chinese Style’ reflects the musicians’attitude and goal in the creation for Chinese popular songs.’Chinese Style’has some influence on Chinese modern music. This thesis researches on’Chinese Style’popular songs and its development history. At the same time, compared with a lot of’Chinese Style’works, this thesis analyzes the ’Chinese Style’ from many aspects, such as the music style, lyric culture, patterns of manifestation and so on. This thesis has found the merits of Chinese Style popular music, and mainly discusses the positive influence of Chinese Style on Chinese popular music. At the same time, this thesis also views the shortcomings of Chinese Style from many aspects, such as the creative method, the promotion pattern and so on. Finally, it makes an analysis on the development direction of Chinese Style in the future. |
