Research On Feminine Subject Of Imitating Yuefu Poetry In Jin And Song Dynasties

From the Western Jin Dynasty to Liu-Song Period, influenced by the zeitgeist at that time, the view on women changed. This change reflected the poetic creation, which stimulated the imitating Yuefu works on female theme appearing different characteristics. This paper aims to research the feminine subject of Imitating Yuefu poetry in Jin and Song Dynasties. With the change of the view on women as a starting point, this thesis mainly discussed the influence of the change on the creation of feminine subject of Imitating Yuefu poetry and teased out a clear clue of the development of feminine subject of imitating Yuefu poetry in Jin and Song Dynasties. Influenced by the different view on women, imitating Yuefu poetry concerning feminine subject were mostly the ornate description of love in Jin Dynasty. While in Liu-Song Period, the trend became more popular and abundant, with the "pet" attitude towards women, which resulted in the sexual characteristics on feminine subject of imitating Yuefu poetry.
