Calligraphy Study Of Inscripiton On Bronze In Han Dynasty

Han Dynasty serves as a major link between the past and the future in thecalligraphy history as it inherited the features of Qin Dynasty and influenced thecalligraphy in Wei and Jin Dynasty.Various kinds of chirography developed in parallelin Han Dynasty.The forms of calligraphy carrier ranged widely including burring，bamboo and silk，inscription on pottery，inscription in bronze，imperial seal，etc.whichnot only have important values as historical materials， but can also prove thedevelopment of Chinese calligraphy history as material evidence.This paper takesinscription in bronze in Han Dynasty as the study object including bronze seal in HanDynasty， combines the ancient literature， on the basis of the studies of it bypredecessors，and deeply researches the inscription in bronze in Han Dynasty to helpthe author to have a more profound and entire understanding of it.The paper includes four parts:the development of the calligraphy in Han Dynasty isanalyzed in the first chapter including the definition of inscription in bronze in HanDynasty，calligraphy education in Han Dynasty，and the system of carving names onthe utensils;the classification of inscription in bronze in Han Dynasty and the recordsabout it in various dynasty was combed in the second chapter to intensify theunderstanding of the inscription in bronze in Han Dynasty in the second chapter;thestyles and forms of inscription in bronze in Han Dynasty are discussed and it wascompared with the calligraphy styles in different carriers during the same period inthe third chapter;the bronze seals are studied from the perspectives of official sealsand personal seals in the forth chapter;The basic situation of bronze in Han Dynastyrecorded in the forms of inscriptions in bronze is sorted in details to have a deeperresearch of inscription in bronze in Han Dynasty in the appendix.
