| Manichaeism is a world religion which founded by Mani, a Persian in the middle of the third Century, this religion absorbed the many western religious ideas and Buddhism thoughts and others religion formation in its development and propagation. After763, Manichaeism served as the national religion of the Uighur Khanate in Mongolia. In the840year, the Uighur Khanate collapsed, and one part of common people moved to nowadays Xinjiang and Hexi Corridor. In866, the Coco Uighur Kigdom was set up centered in Coco and Besbaliq. Although the majority of the Uighurs in the country had converted to Buddhism, but the royal family still believed in Manichaeism. Manichaeism of the Coco Uighur was influenced deeply by Buddhism. Their artistic styles are very close so that Manichaeism cave and Buddhist caves hybrid division could not to divided easily. Analysis the early Uighur Buddhism had absorbed more elements of Manichaeism, and the Manichaeism also had contained the factors of Buddhism. The way of research is collecting and sorting the unearthed literature and existing picture of caves, and combine the two sides together to prove the idea. By the contract with information of Manichaeism, Uighur and Buddhism, and analysising the similar point in the Uighur Manichaeism and Buddhism from the mural statues in the caves, then study the deep influence in the caves statues of Uighur Manichaeism from Buddhism. |
