Before the French missionaries Pere Francois ZavierDEntre-Colles secretly sent the porcelain formula to European in1712, China has been firmlycontrolled the secrets of porcelain. The rise, prosperity and decline of many kilns in thousandyears of history is just like all the stars in the sky, building a brilliant ceramic culture jointly.Among them, Huairen is both an ancient and new ceramic city.Huairen pottery has a very long history. It is located in the Goose Mouth Ruins in thenorthwest of the county. In the sites, people have found many potteries of the Neolithic Times,which can be dated back to about10,000years ago. Many Han potteries have been unearthedfrom the Rizhong ruins, which is located in the southwest of the county, have beautiful shapeand large type. This fully testified the mature technology of Huairen at that time. In the Liaoand Jin Dynasties, Huairen grown up rapidly and was famous for its black porcelain. Whenthe Huairen kiln began to making porcelain, some academic debate, the first to Tang Dynasty,the latest to qing Dynasty. According to some research and analysis, I think it began beforeLiao Dynasty, but the technology had not mature, in the county built the Liao Dynasty, as wellas to enhance the political status of immigrants moving into the South, bringing the porcelaintechnology was more mature, so large-scale porcelain Huairen kilns should begin in the LiaoDynasty.Because it is in the border of Song and Liao Dynasties, where the nomadic and farmingcivilization have completed the intense collisions and deep exchange. Thus, the drumstickbottle with obvious prairie style appeared and the elegant oil drop bowl of south also emerged. In the Yuan and Ming dynasties, Huairen’s glass craftsmen created a masterpiece—DatongNine Dragon Screen.Though Huairen ceramic was reputed in Yanbei, but it declined at the late Ming Dynastyand since then it was not significant to the world. Until the founding of Yanbei CeramicFactory, many ceramic companies went back to the national ceramic stage. In the early1990s,Huairen ceramics reached its first peak and exported its products to many nations in the world.In the late1990s, the state-owned and collective enterprises have closed down and Huairenalso entered its low ebb. But soon, with the large influx of private capital and the coal industry,ceramics industry recovered rapidly, its success mainly depend on the high-quality, largequantity of mineral resources, as well as a large number of porcelain industry workers whohave technology. Huairen’s daily-use ceramics has reached an scale of annual output of1.3billion in2014. it covers the one-third of national output, officially became the top tenceramic-producing areas.So Huairen kiln’s fate is different from other kilns’ in Shanxi. Province, It experiencedthe emergence, rise, prosperity, decline and flourished again. It passed the whole developingprocess. Thus, the research for Huairen kiln does not only focus on its history of art charm,but also concerned about its future trends of development.The first chapter of the article will discuss the dynamic state of China and abroad, thecharacteristics of the research, the characteristics of the research; the second chapter willprove the ceramic history of Shanxi Province and Huairen; the third chapter will study thedevelopment of the ceramic decorations and characteristics of Huairen ceramic decorativeArts; the fourth chapter will discuss the heritage and innovation of Huairen ceramics andother issues.
