And because of the chemical nature of thestainless steel itself, in addition to the extremely strong decorative feeling thereis a high resistance to corrosion, heat, high intensity of a series of features.Because of these characteristics, the modern sculptor is particularly pursued, and soon appeared in the city sculpture material this family.The stainless steel sculpture at home and abroad from the study status quo,combined with the characteristics and manufacturing technology of stainlesssteel materials, through to the stainless steel sculpture art of the developmentand evolution of the, comprehensive study of stainless steel sculpture and theenvironment interaction effect, according to the Chinese stainless steel sculptorsculpture in modern city in different application, brought about different effectsand different beauty, study modern stainless steel sculpture aestheticcharacteristics.Here I through their own design stainless steel sculpture in TaiyuanUniversity of technology towards west campus placement and TaiyuanUniversity of Technology campus culture and students’ comprehensive analysis,the stainless steel sculpture for display space, the environment and on thesurrounding environment and people’s psychological, physiological will whatthe impact.The main contents of this thesis are as follows:（1）Through the analysis and comparison of different material sculpturetheme, form and effect, studies the characteristics of all the sculpturematerial at home and abroad and the advantages and disadvantagesof stainless steel sculpture and other different material sculpture.（2）The material and characteristic of stainless steel were summarized,and the technology of the stainless steel sculpture and the connecting method of the miniature stainless steel sculpture were studied.（3）Based on the production of stainless steel sculpture, the art of thestainless steel sculpture, art development and the evolution of the artof the process of analysis and research.（4）From the angle of the cultural connotation of the stainless steelsculpture and environmental suitability and, combined with thedifferent applications of stainless steel sculpture, brought aboutdifferent effects, different aesthetic feeling, stainless steel sculptureaesthetic characteristics and cultural performance and environmentalimpact analysis.（5）A series of computer software such as SketchUp, Photoshop, Rhinowere made to make stainless steel sculpture model, and to study theinfluence of stainless steel sculpture on physiological andpsychological in different environment.
