From the perspective of design, display is an emerging subject. But it had been appeared form the beginning of the primitive society, and it developed with human civilization and Commodity economy.While the convey form of information is becoming diverse increasingly, we cannot forget to think about another important issue- to achieve the accuracy and effectiveness of information dissemination. We choose to " take a new look at display design from the perspective of communication science", trying to use interdisciplinary to break the original design show limitations and seek new development direction of exhibition design. In the last year, I read books about the Science of Communication, and took part in exhibition design project, which lead to a deeper understanding in a number of links to show the design, construction, quality control and other, as well as the future of exhibition design direction of development.Compared to other design disciplines, the exhibition design pays more attention to the interaction between audience and communicators, and more concerns about science and technology and the media’s metabolism, therefore, there are more dynamic factors in show design. In a sense, the substantive purpose of the art show is to spread the message. We have to analyze every elements of the system, which includes communication communicator and audience analysis, and analysis of content, effects, and the way of dissemination of display design.The thesis studies design art by combining a study of communication model to construct a theoretical framework of design art information and communication systems. It includes five parts:The first part is about the subject of information dissemination of display design. Communicators, the main body of spread, can be divided into direct and indirect communicators. It shows communicators who have a wealth of knowledge and experience in design theory designer or other design professionals should be the executor of exhibition design with decision-making authority in a professional.The second part studies spread audience, who are display design objects of the dissemination of information. It tries to find out the elements that affect information acceptance through the study of psychological factors of the audience, and provide the basic principle of the audience as the center of art and design show.The third part studies media display design. It introduces the definition of communication media into exhibition design, and divides media commonly used into traditional media and new media with a detailed discussion.The fourth part discusses the construction and features of the contents of the dissemination of display art. For the purposes of propagation and motivation, it proposes to strengthen the display of information dissemination methods.The fifth part explores the factors that influence the spread of the art of display effect. It presents a method of assessing the effects and dissemination and defining rules of the scope of the spread, and analyzes common problems in reality.It can be concluded that display design art should be developed more scientifically and soundly on the basis of communication model. This thesis d seeks better ways and means to convey and communicate information, to enrich people’s aesthetic pursuit and spiritual life, and proposes a more prosperous and sustainable direction of exhibition design art, and also makes it more useful.
