Christianity has long history in China, the number of christians in contemporary China is considerable and showed a trend of rising year by year. The institution of marriage is related to the stability of families, which is about social harmony. Therefore, trying to explore the Christian marriage advocacy and practice thought is of great significance for building a harmonious society.As a Christian classic book,the Bible, although do not belong to the class work of law, not only contains profound legal thought, and had great influence on western legal tradition,(today many notions from the bible) and have influence and utility. Therefore, for a long time, Bible is important text that the western jurists research.In the 1960 s, in order to reflect on the problems existing in the modern marriage system, western scholars devoted to the medieval institution of marriage. Until the 70 s, the contemporary western scholars emerged a large number of about medieval marriage and family related academic writings and lectures, research boom also once its heyday at the end, and some important results are obtained. In contrast, domestic research on this topic in our country is little, medieval marriage norms related literature and is also lack of raw materials, only a small number of translation, and were scattered in disciplines such as anthropology, sociology, history, the number of academic papers is also relatively less.This thesis was based on the bible text, sums up the bible for the most basic human system, marriage system records from the Angle of theology and law. Analyzes and discusses the bible reflects the basic idea of Christian marriage, discuss the similarities and differences between the religious marriage and secular marriage and marriage in the bible is a reflection of the influence on the modern marriage system and the problem of meaning.
