Chanhe is a new Taiwanese Taoist sect derived from Doutang which was a local religious group in Fuzhou District, mainland China and brought into Taiwan by immigrants after the World War II. The property of Fuzhou Doutang is non-Buddhism and non-taoism,and it an entertainment salon gather the intelligentsia and businessman which divided into Zhengyi Doutang and Chanhe Doutang in Fuzhou. After spreading to Taiwan, the members of Doutang tried their best to keep characteristics of ritual and music of Doutang and, at the same time, they also overcame the barriers of regionalism and language to absorb Taiwanese local religious culture to be a so-called Chanhe Taoist sect. According to fieldworking about the ritual and music of Chanhe in Taiwan, the essay will study about the form and change of music, and sum up the conclusion that the ritual and music last the characteristic of the traditional culture in Doutang to a certain degree, meanwhile, the language and style of performance of them have some tiny change.Firstly, comparing to the Buddhist music in Fuzhou, the music of Chanhe sect is combining Buddhism and Taoism; secondly, summarizing the relationship of the Qionglong Yudou ritual and the music; thirdly, analyzing the form of the music of Chanhe music; lastly, discussing the localization of Chanhe sect in Taiwan and how it impacts the change of the music.
