| This article includes both quantitive and qualitive studies about the mezzo-sopra no compositions in China. The reasons why Mezzo-soprano does not develop well in China are various, which include the incorrect identification of sound department, the lack of songwriting, and the obstruction of performing ways and public aesthetic and so on. A major cause of the unprosperous development of mezzo-soprano in China is the deficiency in music composition 。Based on the problem, the writer makes a survey on and takes the trial textbook of the Higher Normal Colleges(Chinese Track) and five sets of Chinese typical mezzo track textbooks as examples. Through statistic and analysis, the writer finds that the real mezzo-soprano repertoires account less than one twelfth in the trial textbook of the Higher Normal Colleges(Chinese Track) with such a high utilization rate. However, based on the analysis of five sets of Chinese mezzo track textbooks, we can find that the textbooks have incorporated nearly 224 Chinese songs in total, but most of them are coming from the transposition of other voices. The number of real mezzo-soprano voices is quite small. For a long time, it is our status quo with few Mezzo-soprano repertoire and many difficulties in selecting. For this situation, the writer thinks, we as mezzo-soprano singers should take action now. We should make more research and analysis to widen our song choices and broaden our horizons. The writer tries to regard the song of Qin, a small category of the art song, as a new fi eld in mezzo-soprano voices we can involve. Sorting out the song of Qin in Chinese mezzo-soprano repertoire can not only widen our song choices but also ease the probl em of few mezzo-soprano repertoires. Meanwhile, it can transmit our traditional natio nal culture of thousands of years better. |
