Susan ?ar?evi?’s New Approach to Legal Translation, published in 1997, has profound influence on legal translation research. This book covers the content including legal translation theories, legal translation history, legal translator, etc. This translation report focuses on the third chapter of New Approach to Legal Translation, which presents how interaction is reached between text producer and text receiver and eventually contributes to communication within the mechanism of the law. This translation report consists of task description, process description, case study and conclusion. The first part introduces the writing background of New Approach to Legal Translation, the information about the author and provides the text structure; the second part involves preparation, schedule and quality control; the third part plays the most important role in the whole report, with the emphasis on the analysis of translation strategies at lexical and syntactical level.
