Animated Short Film "Moldy Orange" Art Design Exploration And Research

Gobelins is a French animation school which is renowned throughout Europe. I am deeply touched by the unique narrative style of its graduate works when its representatives conducted public-speaking tours in China. Animation is beckoned as the main form of graduation project carried out by animation students nowadays. In animated narrative, stylization demonstration is of significant importance and artistic designing plays an important role in creating stylization. Therefore, this author explores the stylization of artistic designing in graduation project and animation. In the first chapter, this paper elaborates the source of project, the origin of artistic designing in both domestic and foreign animations as well as the development situation nowadays. Meanwhile, this paper lists the research approaches. In the second chapter, it mainly discusses on the designing concept of animated short film and animation art direction.Besides, it also explores the script of graduation project and stylization of artistic designing. In the third, fourth and fifth chapter, this paper carries out practical exploration on the stylization of artistic designing from the perspectives of figure design, scene design and lens picture design. Moreover, it carries out regular feature summary on the animated art design similar to graduation project from the perspectives of characters, scenes and lens.
