Nowadays, libraries are no longer merely a place for the book borrowing and returning, it had changed into an information center and a culture communication center. That is to say, "books center" is no longer the only image belonging to library, "information communication center", "information referral center" fill the library’s new kernel.To accommodate the trend of the times, the methods of library’s reading promotion must get changed correspondently, so that library will be able to keep up with the new requirements of reader’s reading characteristics.In consideration of the reading promotion mission which library innately owns; along with the fact that readers are no longer in favor of reading the print; One of the connotation of big reading and the requirement of general education; all the above factors force library to pay more attention to reading promotion of movie audiovisual documents, especially to focus on movies that adapted from texts. Print copies will thus be in large demand so as to play their functions.Intercommunities exist between texts and movie audiovisual documents adapted from texts make it possible that the two have the potentiality of comparative reading. Thus it provides the possibility for the library to carry out reading promotion activities of movies audiovisual documents adapted from texts.To more effectively and specifically carry out the reading promotion activities of audiovisual documents relevant with the text, library should do the following. First, encouraging readers to watch movies and read the related books; second, mining knowledge remains under cover of movies and books and develop the activity of intellectual discussion or knowledge sharing; thirdly, organizing the activity of book &movie reviews writing. |
