A Study Of The Ninth Heaven Goddess Belief In Shangpu Village, Zhongpu, Lintao

The ninth heaven goddess is a Taoist god,and it’s also an important framework in folk beliefs, the ninth heaven goddess temples across the country,mainly distribute in han communities and minority nationality communities which greatly influenced by han culture. Lintao is a han community, which has already formed the deity in a long historical period,The ninth heaven goddess belief is widely spread in those place.This paper take a research in the Shangpu village,Zhongpu,Lintao,to research the ninth heaven goddess belief,mainly based on the field research and relevant documents.This paper mainly include five chapters,The first chapter is preface,which introduces the selected topic origion and research meaning,review of related researches and the research methods.The second chapter mainly introduce the village profile and faith environmentThe third chapter mainly research the ninth heaven goddess belief and its historical origin, the form of organization,and its characteristics. The fourth chapter mainly study the temple fair and social fuction of the ninth heaven goddness belief,studying the temple fair and the organization condition,then taking the temple fair of the goddess as a case to study the ritual process.and research the the social faction of the ninth heaven goddess belief.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,mainly rethinking the development status of the ninth heaven goddess belief and analysising its vitality of the development,thinking that we should take a reasonable guidance for the ninth heaven goddess belief,give full play to its positive role in building a harmonious society,and to promote the harmonious development of the village.
