This paper carries out an analysis of the humanistic background and subject background as well as the main content which were produced on the basis of Germany Orff-Schulwerk and the learning theory of the United States Gordon music. It describes the development history of the teaching method which regards Orff-Schulwerk and the learning theory of Gordon music as the systematism as well as the reasons for the rational transition, looking ahead the development direction of music teaching method in the future.The development of music teaching method is supported by humanistic environment and subject background. Any kind of music teaching methods belong to the era of their history, and the emergence of new teaching methods will inevitably be influenced by the environment of the times where the educators are and the restrictions of the subject development. Therefore, any teaching method cannot exist independently beyond the era and environment, and the music teaching methods will be inevitably constantly changing along with the development of the times.
