Analysis And Research On The Language Resources In Guangxi With A Language Resources Perspective

Language is an important resource, which has received universal agreement from the academia. Guangxi is a multi-ethnic region. The language resources are very rich. But for a long time, they have not pay enough attention to these language resources. Most of people keep a weak consciousness of these language resources.They don’t know how to develop and utilize them, and the utilization rate is very low. In the past few decades, because of the influence of many internal and external factors, the ethnic languages and Chinese dialects of Guangxi have been faced with the trouble of function fewer. And more and more people are switching to use other languages. The richness and diversity of languages is faced with some challenges.In this paper I will compare the data of language survey in Guangxi in 1998 and 2011. By this way we can know the change of language application. And we can also know well the change of language attitude of the local residents in Guangxi. On the basis of that we can analyze the reasons for those changes, and then we should take a more positive attitude toward the ethnic languages and Chinese dialects of Guangxi. Now there is a new perspective of language, and we can regard language as resource. With this perspective we can research how to estimate the language resources, how to protect the language resources, and how to utilize it to dig up the value of the local language resources. Finally, by this way we can maintain the diversity of language.
