This paper deals with the graves of the Neolithic Age in Guangxi. In this region, the Neolithic graves can be divided into four archaeological ares. Combined with the characteristics of the other cultural remains in this region stages and chronology of the graves were studied. Funeral way and burial pattern of the graves in different stage were also focused. Grave funerary object types, quantity and funerary objects characteristics were summarized. Combined with the development of social production, reasons of funerary objects are discussed. The paper also focuses on the ancient ideology reflected by the Neolithic graves in Guangxi. Finally, comparative study was made of the Neolithic graves in Guangxi with those found in Yunnan and Guangdong provinces as well as northern Vietnam.This paper includes eight major parts:The first part:introduction.It mainly introduces the purpose and significance of this topic and the research situation about the Guangxi Neolithic graves up to date. The second part:it makes an overview of the Neolithic graves found in Guangxi. The third part:the graves of the Neolithic Age in Guangxi are divided into four area:northern Guangxi, middle Guangxi, southern Guangxi and western Guangxi, based on cultural factors analysis and typology method.Study of dating and staging of the graves in this region is also included.The fourth part:this part focuses on the burial system, burial method, analyses its formation and reason of changes. The graves of Guangxi are divided into two categories, pit-burial and cave burial with the pit-burial predominant. Burial patterns include flexed burials and extended burials.The fifth part:this part describes in detail the funerary objects and discusses their change in number and relationship with the development of the social productivity. The sixth part:it focuses on the concepts of family, decorated beauty and religion, the last of which includes natural worship, the concept of soul, and reproductive worship.The seventh part:compares the graves of Guangxi with those found in the surrounding ares. The result indicates that the graves of Guangxi made an influence on the surrounding areas. The eighth part:conclusion.
