So the students from“San Benâ€are at a disadvantage in general as for their score. Although our national policy is always emphasizing the fair education, declearing that “San Ben†is the same as other ordinary university and has the same length of schooling for four years, the truth is that students of “San Ben†are often in disfavor with recruiters both from company and college. This research supposes that students of “Sam Benâ€may suffer the influence of stereotype threat which is brought from their own label,leading to their impaired mental health and performance.This research draws lessons from methodology about race and gender stereotypes, based on the theory of stereotype threat and social identity theory, exploring whether the label“San Ben†under the social mobility belief system has the stereotype threat effect. This research includes three studys. Study one will explore the stereotype among college students of “San Benâ€through Single Category Implicit Association Test. Study two will use the method of questionnaire to discuss college students of “San Ben†about the sensitivity to their college identity. Study three will adopt classical Stroop paradigm to further analyze stereotype threat the college students of “San Ben†experienced and explore whether it affected their performance. The results are as follows:(1) University students had stereotype on college students of “San Ben†and the stereotype was negative in general. The stereotype of “San Ben†from ordinary university students and college students had no significant differences.(2) College students of “Sanbenâ€and ordinary university students had significant differences on the score of school identity sensitivity scale.
