Empirical Study On The Relationship Between The Solitude And Emotion Of Introversive Junior Middle School Students

Purposes:(1)To investigate the characteristics of solitude preference of introversive and extroversive junior middle school students.(2) To investigate the influences of the degree of introversion of junior middle school students on the their solitude experiences.(3)To investigate the effects of two kinds of solitary situations on the mood of passive solitary ones.Methods: A random sample of 900 students of grade 1 to grade 4 from four junior middle schools in Harbin City and Luobei County. Questionnaires of <the Eysenck personality questionnaire>,<solitude preference scale>and <solitude experience questionnaire> were issued, with 868 valid questionnaires collected. Test1: Calculated the scores of introversive and extroversive dimensions of the <Eysenck personality questionnaire> collected, and transformed them into the standard T scores. The standard T scores below 43.3 were introversion type, between 43.3 and 56.7 were intermediate type, above 56.7 were export-oriented. Solitude preference characteristics of introversive and extroversive junior middle school students were explored. Test2: The of introverted personality traits in test 1 were selected as study targets, and impacts of the personality traits of the typical introversive and inclined introversive junior middle school students on their solitude experiences were researched through relevant methods.Test3:With the Eysenck personality questionnaire and solitude experience scale as screening tools, 24 passive isolated internal junior middle school students were selected as the targets of test 3. All the subjects were divided randomly into two groups: experimental group and controlled group. According to the CAPS and 2 * 2 mixed experimental design, the variable between subjects was based on the types of them(2 levels): solitude with attention and without attention and the variable of within subjects was based on messuring time(2 levels):before test and after test. The dependent variable was the score of emotional valence and arousal.Results:(1)In Test1, the difference among the scores of the preference for solitude and the scores of two factors were found(F=23.166, p=0.000;F=6.630,p=0.001;F=3.293, p=0.038).(2) In test2, A typical introversive and tendency of introversion of junior middle school students were not statistically significant difference on positive solitude(F=1.114, p=0.942); A typical introversive and tendency of introversion of junior middle school students were not statistically significant difference on negative solitude(F=0.638, p=0.168);the influence of inward degree on solitude experience did not show significant effects for junior middle school students.(3)In test3.VP:the main effects of state for being in solitude is found(F=8.697,p=0.007)and the main effects of measuring time is not found(F=2.141,p=0.158).The interaction effect between state for being in solitude and measuring time was found(F=20.802,p=0.000). Neutral Valence:the main effects of state for being in solitude is not found(F=0.823, p=0.374)and the main effects of measuring time is not found(F=0.013,p=0.911).The interaction effect between state for being in solitude and measuring time was found(F=6.359,p=0.019). AP:the main effects of state for being in solitude is not found(F=0.972,p=0.335)and the main effects of measuring time is not found(F=0.737,p=0.400).The interaction effect between state for being in solitude and measuring time was found(F=10.95,p=0.003). Neutral Arousal:the main effects of state for being in solitude is not found(F=0.020,p=0.889)and the main effects of measuring time is not found(F=0.477,p=0.497).The interaction effect between state for being in solitude and measuring time was found(F=6.609, p=0.017). Conclusions:(1)The differences between introversive and extroversive junior middle school students in terms of their total solitude score and three factors scores were large; Compared to the intermediate and extroversive junior middle school students, introversive ones preferred to be alone.(2)A typical introversive and tendency of introversion students in junior middle School of positive and negative alone alone alone, neutral experience are not significant difference.(3)As for the solitude of introversive passive Junior middle school students, emotional valence and arousal degree of those in the team with attention were higher, and the changes of moods before test and after test were significant.
