The Research Of Dionysian Sprit In Emil Nolde’s Art

This paper uses the theory of Nietzsche’s Dionysian spirit. It is supported by image, and the analysis method of cultural studies. It will also consider the works of art and the angle of life experience of Nolde and analyse the implications of Nolde Art. Through the creation state and reflection of mental images of Nolde related works, the prophecy of Nietzche’s Dionysian personality can be verified by Noldes life experiences thus revealing the general pattern and personality of talented artists in artistic creation. In addition there will be further discussion of the importance of the Dioysian spirit in artistic creation.The writing process will firstly elaborate Nietzche’s Dionysian spirit, anaylse the instinct impulse of ‘intoxication’ and ‘ecstasy’, also the tragedy of life and the bright prospect caused by the state of Dionysus and set up the necessary theoretical basis to interpret the aim of Nolde art. There will be a discussion on the connection between the Dionysian spirit and the art of painting, revealing the phenomenon of ‘intoxication’ and ‘ecstasy’ expressed by Dionysian artists in their artistic creation. In addition, there will be an analysis of paintings that have various aspect of Dionysian spirit features and further reveal the Dionysian artists’ tragedy and bright fate. From there, establish the correspondence between painting and the spirit of Dionysus, and lay the foundation for the analysis of Nolde Art and the Dionysian spirit.This article will focus on the interpretation of the Dionysian spirit in Nolde Art, while aiming at its work and briefly introduce the consistency of Nolde Art and Dionysian spirit. The reflection of ‘intoxication’ and ‘ecstasy’ will be considered in religion, natural scenery, myths, dance etc and the various themes to elaborate the Dionysian image. Aiming at the Dionysian life, the analysis will be done through two aspect which is the true nature and tragedy of life caused by rebellion and the bright future due to the creation of new art.To conclude the article will reflect upon the Dionysian spirit in Nolde Art; verify the consistency of Nolde Art and life and prophecy of Nietzche’s Dionysus revealing the general pattern in artistic creation, the meaning and ending of an artist’s life, and providing inspiration for artistic creation.
