| Face-recognition is an important skill for people in society. Through the cognitive processing of faces, people can get a lot of important information, such as age, gender,race, emotional state. In the daily life, people can see more faces that are filled with all kinds of emotion. Facial expression is an important method of nonverbal communication, and nowadays it is becoming more and more closely for the communication and to recognize the expressing is very useful.On the based of predecessors’ research, making good use of the cultural background, the study make a research of the emotion-face recognition by ERP. Choosing the Han and Uygur college students as the subjects, the study would to discuss that if there were difference between Han and Uygur in terms of emotional face recognition.The study had three parts:Study 1: To test the difference between the different groups with different cultural background on the recognitio n of emotional faces.Study 2: By using the ERP and the task of searching car, to explore the controversy about N170 in the face recognition: whether the N170 reflecting the specificity of the face processing, whether affected by attention, and the existence of cultural differences.Study 3: To test if there is difference about the early ERP components induced by faces under the different cultural background group.The study got three conclusions:Conclusion 1: The emotion of the faces can affect the people to recognize the face, people can recognized negative emotional faces more effectively.Conclusion 2: N170 is a kind of specific wave that reflecting the face processing specificity; there is specific neural structures for face processing that with notin g to do about attention an the task; N170 reflects the face processing in the early stage, and at this stage, there is no difference between ethnic groups.Conclusion 3: Compared with the Han subjects, the Uygur N170 amplitude is smaller under three titer of emotional faces induce and there are ethnic differences. |
