In modern literature history, Wu Ming shi is a special exist. In early 1940 s, he was famous for writing Romance in the Northern Country and The Woman in the Tower, which gain great fame in literature field. However because of various reasons, he disappeared in people’s vision, with the development of oversea Chinese literature, Wu Ming Shi returned to people’s vision, with a series of writers, such as Zhang Ailing, Qian Zhongshu, Shen Congwen. The special fate, the unlucky love experience, the unremitting effort for literature, the art and thought value of literature heritage, all these features of Wu Ming Shi attract researchers’ attentions. However through these researches, this thesis find that the researches about Wu Ming Shi focus on his existentialism theme, art(feature, literature style, aesthetic style),romantic legend, love novels, the female image, Korean novel. But in the exist researches, it refer to the novel connotation of Wu Ming Shi( for example, the cultural inflection, the cultural ideality). But the researches are not enough, this thesis based on the exist researches at the same time, it also tries to develop the new research field. Though the contrast between the literature of forties, this thesis hopes to find the new discovery.This thesis is divided into three parts:Chapter I:The transcendence of Wu Mingshi over the main literature. Through researching the forties’ Chinese literature, this chapter clarify the main literature and politics is inseparable. Besides according to the theme, Wu Ming Shi’ works is divided into love novel and philosophy novel. Compared with the works and writer of the same theme, this chapter tries to discovery the transcendence of Wu Mingshi’s works.Chapter II:The works of Wu Mingshi’s and the international literary trends in the 1940 s.Here,the international literary trends mainly refer to the western ideas, as the World War II destroyed the homes of million people as well as their spiritual sustenance in the 1940 s,the helpless people didn’t know where they should go in the future. Thus, the western modernism came into being, and gradually become popular. However, the traditional realism literature didn’t vanish; it still was the mainstream to some extent. The Chinese Modern literature was deeply influenced by the western realism, but was also restrained by it at the same time, while, the original literary forms, powerful psychological analysis function, and unique writing features of western modernism were greatly appreciated by Chinese authors. The Wu Mingshi had a profound knowledge of western modernism classics, and the knowledge influenced his creation unconsciously. He was a pioneer of referencing and inheriting the western modernism in his contemporary writers. In his work Golden Snake Night, we can see his preference of the western modernism, and his introduction of the western modernism classics also marks the early integration of Chinese literature and international literary trends. Chapter Ⅲ:The construction "utopian" new blueprint of culture. The Wu Mingshi’s Wu Ming Book is a big book that explores people’s mind; it also constructs a "utopian" new blueprint of culture of in the process of searching for life. The concept of "utopia" came from the west, however,it was not new to our Chinese, Lao Zi had the idea of "utopian" republic. In the late Qing dynasty, the Chinese scholars also created many fantastic works related to "utopia". Even in the modern period of literature, the construction of the "utopia" still existed. The Anonymous wanted to create an integrated culture of "utopia", which aims at finding an ultimate spiritual sustenance to everyone. This kind of "utopia" was based on the Confucianism, Buddhism, Christianism and the global culture integration, and surpassed the restriction between East and West; it was rare in traditional Chinese culture, and of great worldwide significance. Therefore, this chapter will introduce the development of “utopia” in China and the West as well as the cultural value of the Anonymous’ “utopian” blueprint specifically.
