The international exchanges and communication, and the modernization of culture industry have accelerated the development and strides of escort interpreting industries.This interpretation practical report is based on the project of escort interpretation for Utah architecture experts excursion of Harbin. It is divided into two parts, the first part deals with difficult points in the process of introducing constructions. It includes dealing with terminologies, Chinese architectural characteristics translation, translation skills of Chinese and Western architecture style and complex sentences. The main strategies used are combination of transliteration and free translation, and explanation. The Principle of Least Effort is also manipulated. The second part deals with cultural barriers in the process of interpretation. It contains cultural background, cultural conventions and religious belief. The methods used are domestication and foreignization, and cultural compensation. In Chapter Four, the main content is the generalization of the interpreting practice. The author considers the problems during the process of interpretation, and points out the qualities for an excellent interpreter and expectation for the study and work in future.
