A Practice Report On The Federal Government Budget Analysis On CBO Official Website

In the evolution of the tide of globalization,translation research has been valued gradually. The author was commissioned by the Harbin YuTang Translation Company to translate the article which named FEDERAL BUDGET from the official website of CBO. This English-Chinese translation practice report based on this ten thousand words’ article to analysis. This article also provides profits and references for the development of our economics and the improvement of the economic efficiency.This paper can be generally divided into five chapters: The first chapter introduces the entrusting party,the official website of CBO, the main tasks of the commission, the characteristics and requirements of the task and the responsibilities and obligations of the interpreters. The second chapter is the description of the translating procedure. The preparation of translation includes the preparation of professional knowledge background, the collection of technical terms, the text features of the original text,the analysis of parallel texts, and the preparation of relevant translation theories. The arrangement in translation is an overall planning for this translation task, and will introduce the translation process and the arrangement and management of staff. The post translation events include the proofreading of supervisor and the feedbacks of the entrusting party. The third chapter is about the exhaustive analysis of the problems in translation practice.This analysis is about three aspects:the difficulties in lexical translation, the difficulties in sentence structure,and some textual problems. In the fourth chapter, the author will focus on the translation methods, and discuss the strategies of translation of lexicons,sentence structures and texts. Finally,the fifth chapter is the summary of the translation process and the reflection on the translation task.Through the translation practice, the author’s professional quality has been improved a lot. It has been proved in the practice that the existing theories of translation have a very strong functionality and practicality. This translation practice also offers a valuable experience for the author’s future study and work. Moreover,hope this paper can provide some references for the translation learners.
