The Northern Song Dynasty Song Shenzong Once The Central Official System Reform Research

Political system is the foundation of one country and it directly determines the destiny of the country, so study on the political system has always been not to be neglected in the historical study. Because of the political system is quite complicated in Song Dynasty, although there are a lot of books and papers study on it, there are still some places to be further discussed. This paper is in the setting of the official system reform during the reign of Song Shenzong, which will elaborate the operation and malpractices of the central official system before the reign of Song Shenzong in the Northern Song Dynasty. Meanwhile, it will sum up the process of the official system reform during the reign of Song Shenzong and the basic operation mode of the new official system so that it can summarize lots of impacts of the official system reform during the reign of Song Shenzong. The main parts are as follows:The first part introduces the basic operation mode and its limitations of the central official system before the reign of Song Shenzong.In the second part, it discusses the local adjustment of the central official system in Xining period during the reign of Song Shenzong, which involves setting up and recovering relevant departments in Zhongshumenxia. Through this adjustment the separate situation of government affairs, financial matters and military situation has been changed, as well as the work efficiency of the central official system has been improved in the early Northern Song Dynasty.The third part analyses the overall reform of the central official system in Yuanfeng period during the reign of Song Shenzong, which recovers the Sansheng system. It also elaborates the Sansheng system during the reign of Song Shenzong is a new system, which is not simply copy the system in early Tang Dynasty but combines the system in early Tang Dynasty with the Liangfusansi system in early Song Dynasty.The fourth part analyses the influences of the central official system reform during the reign of Song Shenzong.
