The Influence Of Emotion Priming Effect On Helping Behavior

In the early 1870 s, researchers have realized the importance of emotion in normal life, and improve the enthusiasm of the study of emotion, the research on the influence of emotion on helping behavior of helping people is concerned by most researchers. Most of the studies on the effect of helping behavior were conducted at the individual level of perception, but there are few studies on the effect of threshold emotion on the behavior of helping others.In the existing literature, this study is to explore the impact of different emotional types on the behavior of helping people in different emotional priming, and contrast suprathreshold and subthreshold mood start effect. The subjects are randomly selected of college students and graduate students from xx University,a total of 96 people randomly divided into six groups(the suprathreshold positive group, the subthreshold positive group, the suprathreshold negative group, the subthreshold negative group), each group of 16 people.The experimental results are as follows:(1)In the analysis of the affective priming effect,the main effect of different emotion types is significant,F(2,90)=12.401,p=.000<0.01.(2)In the analysis of the affective priming effect, the main effects of different emotional priming methods is significant,F(1,90)=5.766, p=.018<0.05.(3)In the analysis of the behavior on helping others, the main effect of emotion type is significant, F(2,55)=11.930,p=.000<0.01; The main effect of emotion priming mode is not significant,F(1,55)=.204,p=.653>0.05; The interaction of emotion type and emotion priming mode is significant, F(2,55)=3.530, p=.036<0.05. Under the threshold of emotion, the simple effect of emotion type is significant,F(2,55)=12.730,p=.000<0.01.The experimental results are as follows:(1)There is a significant difference between the scores of the subjects with different emotional types(positive,negative and neutral), whether it is the suprathreshold or the subthreshold.And it is easier to judge the meaning of meaningless symbols as well under the positive emotion, and it is easier to judge the meaningless sign in the negative emotion.(2)There is a significant difference between the response of the meaningless symbols with different emotional priming methods(suprathreshold and subthreshold), whether it is the positive,neutral or negative emotions. And in the subthreshold of emotional start,to judge the meaningless sign of the reaction time is shorter,that is,the subthreshold of emotional start to be more affected by the test.(3)There is a significant difference between the effects on helping behavior with different emotional types(positive, negative and neutral)of the subthreshold emotion. And the positive emotions will help people increase behavior subjects; negative emotions will help people reduce behavior subjects.
