| Authenticity is the first principle of documentaries. With increase in complexity of media environment, increase in quantity of documentary TV programs which develop in diversification, increase in quality of films and television programs in the respective of audiences, additional, the shocks of true man shows, special programs and feature films, "narrative" expression of the documentaries challenge the mode of "original ecology" record and telling in simple and straightforward way. With the development of documentary in China, the pattern of documentaries increases and it challenges the standard made by traditional theorists. Creators began to strive for artistry and diversification in the way of innovative thinking and try to seek new space for documentaries to survival and develop, which blurs the boundary of documentaries. It leads to the discussion of the boundary of the documentariesWhether the documentary should pay more attention to documentary or narrative? This paper aims to discuss in the background of shooting techniques gradually switching to narrative, how to keep documentary in documentaries. In the respective of pursuing narrative this paper tries to analyze the impact factors of documentary in documentaries, concludes the new benchmark to trade-off between documentary and narrative in documentaries. Hopefully, this paper can provide some theoretical suggestion for the future development of documentaries in China. |
